Phil Varone and Skid Row throw some shit at each other

Wanna try?

Wanna try?

Phil Varone is one of those few gentlemen that still remain as a class of their own. Oblivion took the others. There you have a man who lived it all in the Hard-Rock scene in the ’80s and ’90s and keeps in an acceptable shape. And, as a proud member of that rat-pack of firecrackers with colossal egos, he will not tolerate anyone to teach him courtesy lessons. He still has many talents for the world to see, and with all modesty is commited to appearing in self-produced documentaries about himself and how to snort a ton of coke, writing books about the clean, exquisite relationships between a rocker on the road and his groupies, or putting on sale a dildo modeled after his own penis. You guessed it: a 21st Century Leonardo da Vinci… (more…)

Joey Kramer DN Mini - DrumsCult

On August 13th, Aerosmith suddenly cancelled their show in Concord (California) due to “illness”. The TMZ Website specialized in rumours, gossips and all kinds of rubbish-exclusives soon published that an anonymous “source close to the band” informed them that Kramer had suffered heart issues in the past and an unnamed “member of the crew” told them that Kramedog would be undergoing heart surgery. Of course, after spreading the rumour, TMZ stated that none of this was confirmed. Hurray for journalism. (more…)

Jukka Nevalainen takes a break from Nightwish

Jukka Nevalainen DN Mini - DrumsCult

Just when it all seemed to finally go smoothly, Nightwish takes a temporary loss. Drummer Jukka Nevalainen, one of its former members, has written a statement on the band’s official website with some bad news: he is being forced to leave the ship in order to deal with a very uncommon but serious health issue. Since several years ago, he suffers from recurrent insomnia episodes which he can’t control anymore. This may sound like something not really difficult to cope with, but it is a very serious problem that few people have. Things like long, intensive touring with constant changes of time zones can increase this problem to a level where life can be at risk. In the video below, the finnish drummer comments that “we are talking about total insomnia“. It seems that he is not even able to play the drums at the current recording sessions for the forthcoming Nightwish album. (more…)
